4-Point Inspections

The Four Point Insurance Inspection was created after Hurricane Andrew struck Florida in 1992. The Four Point Inspection is performed on behalf of the insurance companies and, typically, as a requirement by the insurer offering insurance to a new or a renewing policyholder. After the 2004 and 2005 barrage of hurricanes in Florida, the Four Point Insurance Inspection has taken on added importance.

A Four Point Insurance Inspection consists of the following four systems:

• Roof Inspection

• Electrical Inspection

• HVAC (Heat, Ventilation & A/C)

• Plumbing

The focus of the inspection is to determine the approximate age, components, and general condition of these components. Our inspectors are able to provide an accurate inspection and offer advice to address any specific requirements or concerns from your insurance provider. Although the insurance companies and their specific requirements can vary and change at any time, the insurance company is typically looking for the four systems to be in generally good working condition and fulfilling their intended function. If the home is an older home, the insurance companies want to see that the systems have been updated.
